Ingredients

* 2 ripe sweet mangoes of any variety

* 4 to 5 tablespoons of yogurt

* Sugar as required

* Dry fruits like cranberries, almonds, pasta, walnuts, raisins, and cashews as required

* 1 pinch of Kesar

* Ice cubes as required


How to make the Mango smoothie?

Step 1) First, take two ripe mangoes, wash them thoroughly with water, and keep them aside.

Step 2) Cut the mango into slices and see that the mango is ripe and sweet enough.

Step 3) Then in a bowl extract the pulp from the mangoes and separate the stone from it.

Step 4) Take 4 to 5tablespoon of yogurt and keep it in a bowl. I have taken home prepared curd which is great in taste.

Step5) In a mixer blender add the mango pulp, curd, and sugar as required.

Step 6) Add a few ice cubes and some mixture of dry fruits.

Here I have used dry fruits like cranberries, almonds,pista, cashews, raisins, and walnuts.

Step 7) Put all these ingredients in the mixer blender and blend them to make a smooth paste. See that smoothie must be semi-thick but neither too thin nor too thick.

Step 8) Open the container after blending and see that the smoothie is ready to serve.

Step 9) Then pour it into the glass slowly.

Step10) Then for garnishing add a few chopped almonds, cranberries, pista, walnuts, raisins etc for added taste.

Step11) Here I have used a scoop of ice cream over top of the mango smoothie for added taste which is optional.

Step 12) Now serve your cold and tasty mango smoothie recipe with kesar or saffron strands over it. The presence of Kesar or saffron strands itself enhances the aroma and flavor of the mango smoothie. Enjoy it in the hot summer.

How to prepare the Vegan Mango smoothie?

Firstly chop a few Alphonso ripe mangoes, dry fruits, yogurt, and sugar as required and blend it to a semi-paste. You can also add banana and milk which I have omitted.

Secondly, blend it properly with some ice cubes, coconut milk, almond milk, or soya milk which makes the smoothie vegan.

Thirdly, while serving the vegan mango smoothie garnish it with a few chopped dry fruits, saffron strands, and a scoop of mango ice cream.


Expert Tips and Advice

Use ripe mangoes- Here in my recipe I did not get Alphonso mangoes which are very sweet so I have used sinduri mango instead. But always try to use the ripe and sweetest Alphonso mangoes so that your milk does not curdle if you add milk to your recipe ,which I have omitted. You can add less sugar if you use ripe and sweet mangoes which makes the smoothie more nutritious.

Use jaggery or honey-In order to make your mango smoothie more nutritious and healthy add jaggery or honey instead of sugar.

Boosting nutrition –You can add chia seeds, flax seeds, etc to make your mango smoothie more healthier and nutritious.

Proper addition of ice cubes- Add the proper quantity of ice cubes for blending as too much use of it will make the smoothie very thin. So adjust it properly to maintain the creamy smooth texture.

Can I make a mango smoothie without yogurt?

Yes, you can make mango smoothie without yogurt but you need to use either coconut milk ,oats milk, or cashew milk which makes the smoothie vegan and more nutritious.

Can I freeze the mango smoothies?

Yes, you can freeze the mango smoothies in the refrigerator in a tray but see that when you serve it you blend it again.

How many days can I store the mango smoothie?

You can store it for 1 to 2 days and not more as it starts tasting differently. You can also prepare 24 hrs before serving.

Can I use the canned mango for a smoothie?

Yes, you can use canned mangoes but using fresh mangoes is far better than the canned mangoes. If you use canned mango then drain the extra juice as it makes the smoothie too thin.

Can I use any other varieties of mangoes?

Yes, of course, you can use any variety of mangoes of your choice but see that the mango is ripe and sweet enough. Here I have used sindoori mango but try to use the Alphonso variety which is a great option for preparation of mango smoothie.
